Tristessa was a shadow elf (though erroneously called a drow) priestess of Lolth turned banshee and the darklord of Keening.[1]
She was banished to the surface with her newborn baby for unknown crimes, where exposure to the sun killed them both. Becoming a banshee, she was constantly searching for her lost child, which drove her mad with grief.[1]
